SILENT AUCTION
BENEFITING BACKPACKS FOR KIDS
A feeding program for school children at risk of hunger over the weekend
Genuine Texas Longhorn
A true Texas tradition. The ultimate in Texas lawn art. Own your own Longhorn.

Out of the Rockin’ LZ Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas, we offer a genuine Texas Longhorn. Our young fellow is a direct descendent of Highly Critical and PCC Generator both of the famed G&L Cattle Company of Van, Texas.
Raised by Elizabeth Thomas, an active member of the Texas Longhorn Association, this young bull calf was born just before Thanksgiving, on November 16, 2009.
He can make a prize winning show Longhorn, a wonderful pet or a generous supply of great rib-eyes. OR maybe all three. You can name him after you, a loved one or someone who deserves a little bull! All yours for the right bid. AND, the best part, all bid proceeds will help Tarrant Area Food Bank's BackPacks for Kids program feed some 1,400 school children at risk of hunger on weekends.
Minimum Bid: $200;
Bids (2) received 3/11/10 for $1,000.
Submit your bid via email to
Mary Kathryn Anderson
at Tarrant Area Food Bank.
(Turns out eBay doesn't allow the auctioning of livestock, so we're receiving bids via email.)
Bidding ends Friday, March 26, at 10 a.m. You do not have to be present at Breakfast with the Stars to win. The winning bid amount will be announced at the event on March 27.
The auction is sponsored by Breakfast with the Stars, a children's festival benefiting BackPacks for Kids, and by longhorn donor Rockin' LZ Ranch. |
