Gear Up to End Hunger Rolls Through Fort Worth

Tarrant Area Food Bank’s 4th annual Gear Up to End Hunger bike ride took place in the Fort Worth Water Gardens on Saturday, Oct. 8. More than 200 cyclists of all levels joined in one collaborative effort to end hunger in our community. For the fourth year in a row, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price led the bike ride as honorary chair.

Participants chose between a 10-mile or 25-mile course through the heart of Fort Worth, or a family ride around the block. An after-party in the scenic Fort Worth Water Gardens followed the ride. Salsa Limón and Alchemy Pops provided guests with delicious food and treats. Refreshing craft beer was donated by one of Fort Worth’s newest breweries, Wild Acre Brewing Company.

Gear Up to End Hunger was a big success in 2016 thanks to all of our corporate sponsors in addition to the following presenting sponsors: Elevate, Tyson Foods, Inc., Ryder and Farmers Brothers.
