Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Community Garden program is happy to offer leadership training to those who are looking to start their own community garden project or revamp a project that has been losing steam.
TAFB’s Community Garden team will walk through the steps involved in starting a garden project, organizing a garden committee and setting the groundwork for a successful project.
The Planning Your Community Garden Training will cover the following topics:
- The history and benefits of community gardens
- How to organize your community of gardeners
- How to identify your community’s strengths
- Next steps for beginning your garden project
- And much more!
All are welcome to attend this virtual event. Tarrant Area Food Bank is located in Fort Worth, TX. Most references and experiences will be made in relation to Fort Worth and North Texas.
Gardens located in TAFB’s 13-county service area (Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Wise, Hood, Denton, Palo Pinto, Bosque, Erath, Hill, Hamilton, Cooke and Somervell) are eligible to join our Community Garden Network and receive services discussed in this workshop.
Please advise if there will be another call after Jan 13th. I would be interested in taking it.
