Dig Deep: A Conference for Growers
From the garden to tables across North Texas. On Saturday, July 22, get a fresh take on gardening at Dig Deep: A Conference for Growers. You will have an opportunity to join gardeners and area farmers for a day of learning and networking.
The Dirt Doctor, Howard Garrett will share how you can make your garden thrive with help from beneficial insects and organic pest control. With Howard’s organic gardening expertise, you’re sure to harvest great ideas for your home or community garden.
Learning As We Grow
Our 2017 conference is all about “Learning as We Grow.” Choose from three tracks focused on community gardening, home gardening and taking your produce to market. This conference is great for beginner and intermediate level growers. You’ll walk away with tips to make your garden the best it can be. If your goal is to sell what you grow, we’ll share resources on how to do that locally.
Connecting to Our Mission
Tarrant Area Food Bank’s goal is to empower communities to eliminate hunger. One of the ways we do this is by providing training and resources to support local gardening efforts. Fresh produce from TAFB’s Community Garden program makes its way to the tables of families in need. We’ve seen the fruit of local gardening and we’re excited to share new resources to support your efforts.
We hope to see you at our 2017 conference!
