Rinse the figs, avocado and baby spinach.
Slice the figs into thin disks.
Peel, pit and slice the avocado.
Slice or tear the spinach, if desired.
Heat a skillet to medium heat while you assemble your sandwich.
Butter the outside of each piece of bread.
Stack the avocado, figs and spinach on the bottom slice.
Put the cheese on top and then add the other slice of bread.
Cook until the bottom piece of bread is toasted. Then flip the sandwich and cook until the cheese is melted.
Cut in half and enjoy!
