Tarrant Area Food Bank North & Hello Fresh Hosting Mega Mobile Distribution Tomorrow Morning at a Time When Families Are Struggling During the Summer Months

 

WHAT:  Tarrant Area Food Bank North (TAFBN), in partnership with Hello Fresh, are holding a mega mobile food distribution Friday, July 12 from 8a-10a at the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex, 1500 Long Road Denton 76207

Hello Fresh, as a part of its Meals With Meaning philanthropic program, will provide home meal kits, which include fresh produce and protein to cook a meal for four.  Volunteers from a nearby Hello Fresh Distribution facility will also be on hand to volunteer.

WHO:   The Mega Mobile is designed to serve any Denton County residents who need food assistance. This includes families who are facing the effects of inflation costs at grocery stores, gas stations and those affected by reduction of recent SNAP benefits, loss of Medicaid coverage or the pending affects with kids out of school for summer and no access to free or reduced school meals.

TAFBN also hosts 2 monthly food distributions on the first and third Tuesday of every month at Serve Denton

TAFB North will also be continuing their twice-a-month food distributions every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at Serve Denton 306 North Loop 288, Denton 76209 beginning at 5:30p.  The next Back To School Mega Mobile event will take place Friday, August 2nd from 9a-11a at the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex on Long Road in Denton.

WHY:  TAFB North is committed to providing families with access to enough nutritious food to provide to families. The goal is to spread the word about this event as far as possible to ensure that no family goes hungry in the 13 counties that theyserve, particularly families affected by summer hunger.

Interviews with a spokesperson from Tarrant Area Food Bank, can be arranged upon request prior to or during the event, beginning at 7:30a
