Summer can mean losing access to reliable school meals for the 1 in 4 Texas children facing hunger. That’s why the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) works to bring no cost, healthy meals to Texas kids through the Summer Meals Program. Expect welcoming faces in a supervised setting, and a healthy meal for kids when you and your children arrive at a summer meal site.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) funds the Summer Meals Program – including the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers the Summer Meals Program in Texas.

Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow and thrive — even when school is out. With the Summer Meals Program, children and teens ages 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old can continue to eat healthy throughout the summer. No applications or form of identification is required, kids simply need to show up.
*Meal site schedules are subject to change. Please call to confirm dates, times and meal-service details.*
