We had the chance to talk with Sheila at Community Link, a TAFB Partner Agency in Saginaw. She told us how thankful she was to have somewhere to turn for help with food during the back-to-school season.
Between buying new school supplies and replacing the clothing Robert and Julianna had outgrown, she wasn’t able to afford food. Sheila told us she had to miss meals — and her family’s kitchen was completely empty.
Sheila’s sacrificed food for her kids before, but she knew she had to ask for help before her children experienced that same lack of food. She wants to fill their plates with healthy meals that will ensure their success.
Both Julianna and Robert love school and baseball. Your continued support will connect them with the healthy food they need to thrive — in the classroom and on the baseball diamond. Their mom has so much gratitude for your generosity.
