18th Annual Empty Bowls CANCELLED Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Following the advice and strong recommendation of the City of Fort Worth and Tarrant County Public Health, Tarrant Area Food Bank announces Empty Bowls is cancelled with plans to reschedule the event in the near future if possible and pending the current situation. The health and well-being of Empty Bowls staff, participants, volunteers and guests is our top priority, and with the onset of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the current recommendation is to not proceed with the event.

FAQs

Is my ticket being refunded?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. As is standard practice in previous years, all ticket sales are considered tax-deductible donations to TAFB’s hunger-relief efforts and are therefore non-refundable. At this time, those hunger-relief efforts include reaching children and families affected by work- and school-related cancellations necessitated by the coronavirus. However, the need is just beginning.

Will the event be rescheduled?

Empty Bowls event is one of joy, generosity, and delicious food. We want guests, specifically families with children and seniors, to be able to enjoy it at its fullest without having to worry about the spread of illness. Details are not known at this time about a potential reschedule date.
