Two Tasty Peach Recipes

It’s peach season here in Texas and a great time to whip up some tasty peach recipes. Peaches grow in Texas from mid-May through early August in a typical year. One of the best ways to save money on groceries is to by fresh produce that is in season.

Smart Shopping Tips

When buying fresh peaches, give them a sniff. They should be fragrant and smell sweet. They should also yield to slight pressure and not be hard.

Unripe peaches can be placed in a paper bag on the counter for a few days to ripen. Store ripe peaches in the refrigerator. Be sure to use them within a week.
